27 years strong, Vancouver, Canada's award-winning Headlines Theatre has produced hundreds of Theatre for Living workshops and performances around the world. Recent mainstage events Meth (2006/ 2007) Here and Now (2005) and Practicing Democracy (2004) played to great critical and audience acclaim.
Embracing concepts of systems theory, Artistic Director David Diamond approaches communities as living organisms that experience dysfunction, seen through symptoms such as violence, racism, addiction and over-consumption. Conversely, living communities are capable of incredible change, and movement toward wellness. Diamond’s Theatre for Living uses the primal language of theatre to investigate difficult issues, create dialogue, and rehearse individual and community transformation.
