The Culture Association Tambo Tambulani Tambo was founded in 1995 in Pemba - Mozambique with the mission to promote cultural values for them to be valorised in the society and for culture to contribute to the development culturally, socially and economically of the province Cabo Delgado, the country and the world in general.

To get on with the mission Tambo Tambulani Tambo creates cultural activities, mostly music, theatre and dances as well as getting involved in defending and promoting the rights and opportunities for artists. We are member of various forums like FOCADE, the forum for NGOs in Cabo Delgado where we take active part in the forum’s goal to secure social just development.

In 2006 we started the establishment of the cultural centre "Tambo" that will offer not only members of Tambo but also other artists the possibility to perform on stage with sound and lights, a possibility difficult for artists in northern Mozambique to experience.

The cooperation between artists to exchange ideas, promote each other and perform together is very important in our aim to promote art and its diversity, its value in development, tolerance, opening of minds and edutainment. We are always looking for possibility to work with likeminded. Every year in July we are having our festival "Celebrating Cultural Diversity" which give possibility for artists of different art forms to perform, meet and for audience to experience a variety of art. From the year 2008 the festival is connected to our International Art Camp, where you are most welcome to join.
